DC Injection Brake 1 - 10,000 HP, 208 - 4160V
The DCB3 series is a stand-alone DC Injection
brake for stopping AC induction motors. DC Injection braking
is becoming more and more required in the industry for
faster process control & safety reasons. The DCB3
applies D.C. to two phases of the motor, which
sets up a stationary field in the stator, which causes
the rotor to align itself with the stator. . Benshaw's
DCB3 Series is simple in its design with just 7 wires
to connect, and with Benshaw's standard ruggedness fits
into the most unfriendliness environment.
